Freedom of expression is a fundamental right of all Canadians, and freedom to read is part of that precious heritage.

The freedom to choose what we read does not, however, include the freedom to choose for others.

Freedom to Read Week is an annual event that encourages Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom, which is guaranteed them under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Freedom to Read Week is organized...

02/01/2014 - 10:30am - 02/26/2014 - 5:30pm

Spice up your reading life by going on a blind date.......with a BOOK!!!

If things don't work out between you and your blind date, just return it without any hurt feelings.

We have a number of books of different genres wrapped and on display.  Select a "blind date" , read at least 50 pages, rate it and write a brief review.  Your name will be entered in a draw for a dinner for two.  All we ask is that you check out the book, do not unwrap it...
